Outdoor Life magazine published an article about the art of spear fishing. They recognized Mark and Harlan Wilkens and Double Diamond Spears for their fine spears, saws and chisels as these are necessary tools for the sport.
Outdoor Life magazine also recognized James Moening of St. Paul, MN for his stunning hand-carved decoys.
S&W Saws are used by the North Atlantic Ice Testing Facility located in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada.
In 2005 NBC purchased an S&W Saw for an episode of the hit television series, Crossing Jordan. They used the saw in the episode to cut a frozen man from a glacier.
